Hi I'm Kath 👋

I set up Little People Store in 2017 as a side hobby after our son was born...

After a cancer diagnoses in 2009 which left me unable to have children, a tiny miracle happened in 2015 just after my 40th birthday, I was pregnant! I was self employed as a Marketing Consultant and decided to let all of my clients go and and announce that I wanted to be a full-time Mum; baking and doing baby classes and all of the things I thought I'd never get to experience. Six months after our son was born, my brain was twitching, I needed to work or use my brain as I didn't feel myself. I had been working from the age of 11yrs where I started at my Dad's shop and I enjoyed the reward of earning and making a different to a business. I'd had a successful career in Marketing and had worked at Head Offices for Woolworths, Marks and Spencer and Matalan across all platforms of marketing, specifically online retail. So it made sense to open a small online business of my own.

So, Little People Store launched on May 8th 2017 with a rail of clothes and I ran the business from our Dining Room...

It allowed me to feel like a full-time Mum but also have the independence to feel like myself again. And it was a fun time to have with my little helper...

After running a few pop-up shops where I got to meet my customers, this small unit became available and I decided to open a shop, just for the weekends and it became my haven...

Then in 2020 when my son was due to start Reception, a large unit became available and even though it was a tough time during covid (remember those days!) I decided to leap and take a chance and I've never looked back! Little People Store is my 2nd baby, with love, nurture, mistakes and faith we're still going strong. Running events for children, pregnant parents and seasonal themed days, we love bringing joy to our community, both online and in-store.
